My relationship with bento lunch jars goes a long way back. When I was in college, I had a dingy looking thermos flask that serves as my lunch jar. My mum will cook simple all-in-one meals like fried rice, spaghetti, etc, because there was only one compartment to keep the food hot. How I wished there was Mr. Bento then!
After getting married, I prepare lunch box meals for my hubby sometimes. We got a three container insulated “tiffin-like” carrier to store the food. Although it does quite a good job at keeping the food warm for a few hours, but it was pretty bulky and kind of ugly to carry around.
It was only after we discovered Mr. Bento that lunch box meals not only tasted better, but bringing it around looked so much cooler, especially for hubby. Now he is not complaining having to bring lunch to work. Haha.
